The Foris collection is created by architect and founder of RODTNES, Mette Rødtnes.
The word foris is Latin for a threshold between the interior world and the natural one. That tension is at the heart of this collection.
Each print begins as a photograph of a carefully selected detail on an ancient tree. From a distance, the tree is mundane and something you pass without a glance, but when you move closer, it becomes something else entirely. Lines, shapes, textures and colours are no longer details within a larger, familiar scene; they become the subject itself.
This is the idea behind Foris: that what we see depends on how we look. Step back, and you see a tree. Step closer, and you see composition, texture and tone arranged by time itself.
Placed in an interior, the prints carry that shift indoors. They offer a quiet sense of tactility and presence - a connection to the natural world, to the passage of time, and to everything that quietly endures.

Each print is produced on heavyweight 200gsm fine art paper with a smooth matte surface that enhances tonal depth and highlights detail. The printing method is Giclée - the standard used by museums and galleries worldwide - using pigment-based archival inks. The result is a smooth gradient, rich colour and a brilliance that will not fade over time.

The printing method is Giclée - the standard used by museums and galleries worldwide - using pigment-based archival inks. SHIPPING
Orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Aarhus, Denmark within 1–5 business days after purchase. We ship with GLS to all EU countries, as well as Switzerland and Norway. In regions where GLS does not operate directly, delivery will be carried out by one of GLS’s trusted partner couriers.
Please note: If a parcel is not collected from the pickup point or delivery is refused, it will be returned to us. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
DELIVERIES OUTSIDE OF EU: Any applicable import duties, VAT, and local sales taxes will be charged in addition to the product price and are payable upon receipt. Please note that these duties and taxes are non-refundable through RODTNES.
SHIPPING OF ART PRINTS: our art prints are not kept in stock; they are printed only once you place your order and shipped directly from our print partner. Please allow up to 4 business days for your print to be produced before it ships. Art prints are delivered to the address you provide at checkout. Delivery to a parcel shop is not possible for prints. If your order includes both an art print and items from the main RODTNES collection, theywill arrive as two separate shipments, each with its own tracking.

RETURNS
We accept returned items that are sent back to us no later than 14 days after you receive your order.*
Send an e-mail to hello@rodtnes.dk containing your order confirmation e-mail, and we will get back to you within 2 business days with instructions about how to return your order.
When returning an item, it must be sent back in its original condition. All accompanying packaging materials - such as protective covers, foam inserts, stuffing, plastic bags, and any other components that were part of the delivery must be included and intact.
Kindly note that customers are responsible for covering return shipping costs and organising the return shipment.
*Christmas gifts purchased after November 24th can be returned until January 7th of the following year,provided all standard return conditions are met.
